EUR/USD: Impeachment of Donald Trump has another sense than his removal from politics

Having departed from the White House, Donald Trump seems to enjoy a well-deserved break in his luxurious residence Mar-a-Lago. Nevertheless, he cannot fully relax from the strain of his final days of presidency as lawmakers are not going to drop chair charges. So, he is to face a second impeachment soon. Many are wondering why the lawmakers insist on the second impeachment if Trump has already left his office. I've already answered it in one of my previous fundamental articles. In a nutshell, his rivals want to bar Donald Trump from being involved in politics and take a high government position afterwards. They foresee that he will be willing to enter the presidential race in 2024. So, Democrats want to exclude this scenario. Nevertheless, if we mull over the situation in detail, we will be able to discover quite different reasons.

What will Donald Trump be memorable for 4 years at the helm of the White House? The whole world will remember the 45th US president for his bizarre behavior in any situation where Donald Trump has been involved. Trump absolutely did not know how to negotiate, communicate with officials, journalists and with anyone who did not support his viewpoint. Trump followed two basic principles for treating people. Those who support him are "well done, real Americans, wonderful people." Those who contradict him - "fools, fools, do not understand anything." Naturally, half of Congress and the Senate automatically became "fools who don't understand anything." Therefore, the war between the Democrats and Trump is an absolutely logical development. It simply could not be otherwise.

Trump also managed to offend a powerful organization like the Federal Reserve when he repeatedly accused it of "aiding China," when Jerome Powell refused to cut the key interest rate because Trump wanted to. The eccentric President also targeted the WHO in "complicity with China". He said that the organization turned a blind eye to the pandemic that broke out in China and did not announce it to the whole world when it was possible to close the borders with China. Thus, it comes as no surprise that Trump made so many enemies among policymakers who did not just sat and hated him, but did everything to get him out of office.

Besides, Trump will be remembered in the international arena with a bunch of wild moves and statements. A trade war with China, withdrawal from the Paris Agreement, withdrawal from the Iranian agreement, dubious stories about his ties with Russia and blackmail of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, etc. This is just some of the moves what Trump will be memorable for. In simple words, Trump just did whatever he wanted, said whatever he thought was appropriate. At the same time, he really rarely violated the US Constitution openly.

It goes without saying that there are so-called unwritten rules of conduct. Imagine, you come for a job interview at a large company, and the director of this company is rude to you, talks like a thug, and so on. Does he have a right to it? Yes, he's a director. But does it often happen to encounter this type of behavior? So no one expects the US president to insult openly Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, Turkish President Erdogan and talk as if he were not the president, but a third-class repairman at a factory. However, words are words, but Trump did as the President what he wanted, rarely adjusting his decisions for the interests of the state.

It seems that Trump, having achieved everything in this life, saw the presidency as a new interesting adventure, the main point of which is to enjoy it. Importantly, he cannot be accused of frequent breaches of the Constitution. And when he did, no doubt he was backed by the Republicans in the Senate. So, why is a second impeachment necessary? The second impeachment is needed so that all future officials who want to act according to the "Trump principle" clearly understand that such actions will entail consequences.

Roughly speaking, the state apparatus wants to play it safe for the future from such presidents and other high-ranking officials who think of themselves as "masters of the Universe." Trump is now facing not only a second impeachment, but also a number of legal proceedings. Here is the case of taxes (as it turned out, Trump's companies have not paid taxes for many years, since ... they have not made a profit). Here is the case of the president's abuse of power, the case of violation of the Constitution, the case of inciting riots on January 6. Trump should bear responsibility for all these claims. And the second impeachment will remove him from big politics once and forever. By the way, I've mentioned just a small number of Trump's eccentricities.

We are not even talking about such whims as refusal to attend the inauguration of his successor, absolutely groundless claims about election fraud, accusations of "stolen votes". Now the Democrats should gain the support of 17 Republican senators and then Trump will be impeached.
